TYPES OF CLASSES AT BARRY’S
Barry’s Yoga Studio is a vinyasa-based studio offering both hot and warm classes. Each class is designed as an open level practice and is suitable for beginners and long-time practitioners alike.
HOT POWER YOGA
Experience our signature Baptiste Power Yoga class at BARRY’S. Get ready to powerfully move, breathe and sweat in a way that will leave your mind, body and well-being fully alive and inspired. The studio is heated to 95-98°F via infrared heaters, with added humidity and fresh air for an intense asana practice that will leave you feeling cleansed, whole and complete.
Each class is designed from the Journey Into Power sequence, a series of postures that flow from one pose to the next. This practice will tone, strengthen and rinse your body, clear your mind and leave you with a sense of accomplishment. Just as there are no mirrors in our yoga studio, you won’t hear music playing during Hot Power Yoga classes. Why? To provide the opportunity to focus, quiet the mind and learn how to redirect attention inward and tune out external stimuli. Class is 75 minutes, unless specified otherwise.

HEATED VINYASA YOGA
Come join this 60-75 minute invigorating flow class that will inspire your heart, and clear your mind.
The yoga studio is heated to 84 – 90°F via infrared heaters to keep your body comfortably warm during a Baptiste-Inspired flow. Energizing and calming music guides and challenges you through mindful movement, while being grounded in a theme or principle encouraging the best version of you both on and off the mat. Heated Vinyasa Yoga presents challenging postures with variations and adaptations for all students in lower room temperatures than Hot Power Yoga.

HEATED YIN / YIN to VIN YOGA
An all levels fusion yoga class that starts off as Yin and completes as a more vigorous vinyasa. The studio is heated to 90F. Yin Yoga is slow-paced where poses are held for a longer duration to activate and apply gentle stress to the more elastic yin tissues (connective tissues, ligaments, fascia), while Vinyasa Yoga is an active ‘yang’ style of practice where poses and movements are linked with breath.

HOT CONDITIONING
Hot Conditioning is a 45 minute heated class that includes a blend of yoga poses, pilates, and dynamic strength training. Utilizing props such as light weights and resistance bands, this class is designed to build strength and to condition your body to support your yoga practice. The studio is heated to 98F and the class is practiced barefoot on a yoga mat, with all other props and weights provided by the studio.

SUNDAY SERVICE
Welcome to Sunday Service, one of the hidden gems in Rochester, NY. Sunday Service brings the Rochester community together in a way that pulls forth our very best both individually and collectively. Ryan has been teaching this class to Rochester for over a decade and can’t wait to share it with YOU. Students of all levels of experience are welcome, and options are given to both modify and intensify poses. The room is heated to 95-98 degrees. Join us for this inspiring 75 minute flow that will transform your mind and body and uplift your spirits in a whole new way.

NEW TO YOGA
Is this your first time practicing yoga or maybe this is your first time back in a studio? No problem, all of our classes are open levels and are designed in a way for everyone to follow along and receive the many benefits of yoga, regardless or your age or fitness level.
